How do little kids do it?

How can a child with only a few teeth who just learned to walk reprogram my TV in under a minute? I put the remote out of reach, so he had to open a little hatch on the front and then manipulate the switches. Took my a lot longer to put it right. The same child can turn on an iPad and choose his own program. What evolutionary advantage did this skill give to his ancestors?

If you hide the remote from a six or seven year old,
They then pick up a "smart phone" and pull down a "APP", then they use the new phone remote on your TV.
My six year old grandson Showed me how it's done.

You think that's good. We have a TV attached to an Apple TV streaming box for Netflix, Stan et al. Our four month old kitten loves to jump on the coffee table, step on the Apple TV remote and turn on the TV.

They might be better than you at handling digitally-based technologies, but most kids these days can't tie their shoe laces until they are 7 or 8 years old. If it wasn't for Velcro, they'd have to wear thongs.

It's started already,
They all wear "smart watches" & think all TV's are internet connected.
They have engine monitors in the cars,
Now they seem to be Married to their Bank !, with a wedding-band, on their finger. "Tap&pay band". LoL
Don't forget the insert to stop unwanted pregnancies.
